Bringing Lab Accuracy to Online Measurements
The quality of water is vitally important for industrial operation as well as for swimming pools and spas. The measurement accuracy of water components is therefore critical in order to prevent pollution and contamination.
Blue I Water Technologies has pioneered a patented method of implementing colorimetric chlorine measurement that is reliable and simple to maintain over long periods of time. Blue I’s technology, implemented in the HYDROGUARD colorimeters, facilitate more accurate spectrophotometric measurements though variety of patented methods:
Automatic Self Cleaning (ASC)
Blue I's patented ASC technology ensures accurate online measurements through automatic cleaning of the photo cell, after each measurement, followed by zero calibration. Keeping the photo cell clean after each measurement prevents gradual accuracy degradation and reading errors which are common in competitive colorimeters. Furthermore, the water sample is measured initially as reference baseline that enables the colorimeter to accurately operate even in harsh conditions such as salty water colored water etc. As such, HYDROGUARD Colorimeters are the ideal solution for performance-sensitive applications (for example in food, beverage and health industries), providing accurate “0” reading and low measuring interval of 0.01ppm resolution.
Active Reagent Mixer (ARM)
Blue I's active reagent mixer facilitates rapid uniformity of color and yields a homogenized solution that in turn maintains a cleaner quartz glass. Thanks to the Active Reagent Mixer, the same water sample is used initially for the reference baseline and then for reagent mixing, reducing measurements deviations.
Blue I’s leading colorimeter technology enables high precision online measurements and consistent readings. Tested against standard reference lab equipment, Blue I Water Technologies online products’ accuracy was found highly consistent and reliable. The products’ high-precision measurements excel even in challenging environments such as colored water, oily water, sea water, very low chlorine levels, and high temperature.
